Rosa & Everares (1) recently proposed that formation of chromosomal territories is due to a kinetic effect connected to topological constraints encountered by decondensing chromosomes. Intrigued by (1), we used numerical simulations to investigate the effect of topoisomerase-mediated DNA-DNA passages on formation of chromosomal territories.
